Silicon Valley Latino is the premiere media company in the Silicon Valley/San Francisco Bay Area that educates, inspires and engages the Latino community through its media platforms and events by showcasing the Latino and Latina experience.

Alex Ontiveros has been a champion for the Latino community for decades, his community involvement began in the mid-'90s as he Chaired the Personal Management of Aztlan's Mentorship and Scholarship Program. Ever since then he has been involved in the community on boards of non-profits like the Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley, the Mexican American Community Services Agency, and the California Hispanic Professionals Association as well as a past member of the San Jose Rotary to name a few.
Alex is also an award-winning social impact entrepreneur with an extensive range of professional experience and success in the areas of PR, brand development, marketing, community engagement, community development, community relations, business development, communication, and event design, event production and event management.
Currently, Alex is the Founder and CEO of Silicon Valley Latino, LLC. Through SVL he has led the development of key empowerment programs under the #CreoEnTi umbrella such as the Inspire Higher Tours, Latino Leaders Fireside Chats, College Declaration Day and the Raices – Creo En Ti Summit.
Previously Alex held the Chief Development Officer position at the Mexican American Community Services Agency, Inc. (MACSA), and was VP and Director of Community Relations for Citigroup (Citibank) in the Silicon Valley region.

Sergio was born in Santiago, Chile and immigrated with his parents at a very young age to Sunnyvale, California.
You can find him out trail running and when not on the trails he is an entrepreneur at heart with a supportive personality for new businesses and crazy ideas. This kind of spirit has taken him to work from the banking industry in corporate America to a family owned business back in Chile for eight years in the agricultural and timber industries, then back to the USA.
A graduate of the University of San Francisco, Founder of Andes Trail Adventures, and a past board member of Greater San Jose Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Sabor Del Valle.

Raised in San Francisco with over a decade of video production experience, Joe Poni has been a trusted filmmaker and storyteller for top brands in Silicon Valley. In 2016, he founded Experior Media, a video production company that creates impact videos with top tech and corporate brands.
When he is not behind a camera, he serves as a volunteer to several high schools in the Bay Area teaching entrepreneurial workshops. Recently, he has joined his efforts with Silicon Valley Latino to create digital and social impact. Joe is a proud husband and father.
