This past week, **UnidosUS** recognized **Teresa Romero**, President of the **United Farm Workers (UFW)**, with the **Maclovio Barraza Award for Leadership** at their annual conference.

Romero made history as the **first Latina and the first immigrant woman to lead a national labor union in the United States**.
